MOBILE CLINIC
Mobile Clinic- an outreach program established on 02.16.2019.

The objective of the program is it to promote maternal health through providing reproductive health, education, antenatal care, vaccination services and awareness creation on gender based violence issues, particularly female genital mutilation (FGM), family planning education and services.

The program is carried out in the remote of Marurani in Nduruma (Arusha District).

The program has been established in partnership between HIMD and the government. The area has been chosen because it is located too far from the health centers nearby, hence the women are not able to frequently access health services.

NUMBER OF PEOPLE BENEFITED

Since the establishment of the program, over 2000 have been benefited, 363 women received various family methods, 437 children got vaccinated, we did over 800 measured weights and distributed mosquito nets to 30 pregnant women.
